It's All Coming Together

From Sandman #1. Always been a favorite of mine since I was a child.

Jack Kirby. Jack KING Kirby. It’s important to note that he was one of the MOST influential artists in the comic book industry. If not one of than THE most. His style is the most recognisable and elements of it can be found in many of my favorite artists of my youth and even today.  Read the rest of this entry »

I cannot wait for this film. I am looking forward to it more than Episode 8! How many times have I watched these? I have no idea, but it has been more time than I view the trailer for The Force Awakens. Having another female lead is very cool, along with the diversity of the cast. The planet Jedha and it’s inhabitants intrigue me the most. I’ll also be watching for any easter eggs that hint at anything from Rebels🙂

This post is from 4 years ago, but still a great read🙂

“Not everyone is meant to make a difference. But for me, the choice to lead an ordinary life is no longer an option. story of my life is not for the faint of heart.  If somebody told you I was just your average ordinary guy, not a care in the world… somebody lied. Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: “With great power comes great responsibility.” This is my gift” – Peter Parker, Spiderman

The Olympics are always a time of great inspiration and bringing together of cultures, nationalities, communities, friends and families. It’s a time when we see the top athletes around the world compete for their respected country and more importantly for the sport they love.  And they do so with such passion, intensity, vigor and dedication.

This foundation isn’t reserved only for those who claim the Olympic title, but for anyone…

Han Shot First…

… and that’s why he’s in such big trouble😉

This came about when I came up with an off the cuff hashtag, #GreedoWasMurdered, in response to a friend’s “#HanShotFirst” tweet. This could have been a thing, from a certain point of view.

I could have done better, or even signed it, but I was having too much fun to take it slow. I lowered Han’s brow a bit and adjusted Greedo’s mouth along with enlarging his eyes. Fun stuff ^_^

Obligatory Poster ;)

So this morning, after some old cartoons, I cruised on over to Netflix to catch a Kung Fu flick. I had watched this one when it came out as a Netflix exclusive but wanted to share it with my better half. Usually I get groans when I fire up any sort of Kung Fu Theater action here because I love to watch the newer films in their native language. The old school Shaw Bros. don’t count since I’ll always love the bad, and very cheesy, dubs from the 70’s. Mrs. Multiverse doesn’t like to read her movies so this one is a win – win. They filmed in in english. I am unsure if they also made a Mandarin version too but that is neither here nor there. If you love this genre, and have not experienced this movie yet, then I cannot recommend it enough. Other than calling the “Jade Destiny” sword the “Green Destiny”, there is very little wrong with this fun romp through the Martial World.

It’s short and sweet with a cast that can’t be beat.

Iron_Fis   I woke up this morning feeling the need for a bit more Zen in my life. Since my life is pretty cluttered up with collectables, new positions at work, and more, I thought I would find some satisfaction in streamlining my sight a bit. No more header image, Ads, Featured Images, or Custom Background.

While not as cathartic as ridding myself of physical minutia, this sleek design fits my mood for the moment. I hope that you enjoy the change, and by you, I really mean me, since I am pretty sure that I am the only one who reads this stuff anyhow  🙈

Last month, I also moved from a paid platform back to the free-of-charge service with WordPress.Com. I did register my domain with Google so that I could keep it a have it pointing here. It made sense, financially. Perhaps if the plans were more flexible on WordPress, or if they had more that just the four that they offer then I would have stuck around. As it is, the site wasn’t self sufficient, and I haven’t been posting as frequently as I used to (poor time management on my part).
